The Mindanao Conference for IT Educators (MCITE) and Mindanao Conference for IT Students is organized by the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) Region XI in collaboration with the Philippine Society of IT Students (PSITS) and Council of Deans in IT Education (CDITE) and Region XI and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region XI. PSITE-XI and CDITE-XI are members of ICT Davao, Inc.
The 2014 conferences happened in November 27 and 28, 2014 at the Holy Cross of Davao College and Ateneo de Davao University campuses.
MCITS and MCITE are annual activities of PSITE XI since year 2003 aimed at providing IT educators and students in Mindanao a venue to present researches and projects as well as trends and developments from the IT industry.
Eight Hundred (800) students attended MCITS while eighty (80) educators attended MCITE. Among the researches presented are SMS location-based alarm system, Neonatal Blubber Pattern Analysis and Identification, Obstacle Avoidance and Trajectory Following for Intellibrain-Bot Using Fuzzy-Neuro Approach, and Heuristic Intercluster Traffic Optimizer for Ideal Multicomputers. An IT Olympiad, graphic design and programming competitions were among the highlights of MCITS.
