Server Hardware for SMEs
More companies are now using computers to do their businesses.  The demand for server equipment has gone up while their prices have gone down.  In this presentation, representatives from IBM Philippines will showcase their line of affordable servers and teach the participants on how to choose the right one for them.  


Cost Efficient Computing with Thin Clients
Continous advancements in computer engineering has consistently produced better and more powerful machines.  Now, computers have reached a point where their raw computing power is excessive and remain under used. This scenario is common in business environments where desktop computers are mainly used with office productivity applications.  In this talk, Holden Hao of Afterfive Technologies, will introduce the participants to thin client computing, a technology that maximizes powerful computers while lowering acquisition and maintenance costs.

WebERP: An Affordable Accounting System
Most local businesses use "Pocket Accounting" in measuring the health of their enterprise.  When the owners reach inside their pockets and find money then it means their business is doing well. This system, however, is inefficient and does not show the real standing of their company.  Suzette Balucanag, a CPA and trustee of DabaweGNU, , will introduce the audience to WebERP, an open source accounting package that is feature rich and affordable to use.

Putting Your Business on the Map
The combination of GPS technology, mobile devices, and the Internet offer customers an alternative way of locating businesses that they can patronize.  They also assist companies in gaining operational efficiency through the geographic information that they provide. In this part of the program, Neuraltech Inc., will show participants the different possible uses of GPS technologies for businesses to gain competitive advantage in the market.

Sustainable Resource Management for ICT
In this segment, DCCCII Members who attended the PAHRDF sponsored training on Sustainable Resource Management will share what they have learned from their training. They will give participants resource management tips relevant to information technology and show them ways to manage electronic waste.
